Rekindling Warmth for Children: Children of Heroes launches its winter project to reach more Ukrainian children in need
With the winter season approaching, Children of Heroes revives the Warmth for Children project. This time aiming to reach almost twice as many children it supported a year ago.
On its first year, the Foundation and its generous donors were able to raise $261,000 (UAH 9.6 million) that supported 1,377 Ukrainian children under CoH’s care. The children were given blankets and winter clothes, including scarves, hats, jackets, and shoes, as well as heaters and firewood for their homes.
“There’s a growing number of children being taken under our care. We are doubling our efforts to make sure that they are safe, protected, and healthy this coming winter,” says Tetiana Novytska, Global CEO for Children of Heroes.
The Foundation also developed and revamped its website to provide donors and supporters with easy access to the program.
The Warmth for Children project will run until the end of winter in 2024.
