As the Fund begins its second year of operation, and the US entity closes its first year, we are humbled to present the first Children of Heroes of Ukraine Foundation Annual Report.

To our donors and partners

You’ve provided humanitarian and emergency aid, psychological care and therapy, crisis management, legal aid, educational support, as well as the provision of food, warm clothing and assistance securing shelter for children, and so much more, to over 5,500 children to date. You’ve funded initiatives like Warmth for Children, which funded winter clothing for 1,377 children and 736 heaters for Ukrainian families. You’ve also brought light to children and families that have experienced darkness during power outages, delivering $131,000 worth of aid as part of the Light for Children initiative. And you’ve given hope to children like Yaroslav, Yulia, and Katia, whose stories you can read about in the Report. They have started to thrive thanks to your gifts and are learning to code, to draw and to heal at rehabilitation centers — all thanks to you.

Children of Heroes was founded to help the countless number of Ukrainian children who have suffered the ultimate tragedy: the loss of a parent, or parents, during the ongoing war. табір «Воловець» у Карпатах

З перших днів повномасштабного вторгнення Юрій пішов добровольцем на фронт. На жаль, чоловік загинув під Бахмутом. Ця трагедія стала справжнім ударом для його дружини Галини та двох донечок — 13-річної Таїсії та 11-річної Іринки. Емоційний стан донечок був вкрай нестабільним: вони закрились в собі.

Від фонду «Діти Героїв» сімʼя Найдухів отримала можливість поїхати до табору «Воловець» у Карпатах. Це табір психоемоційної стабілізації для сімей, що постраждали від війни. З перших днів у таборі розпочались позитивні зміни. Вони ходили в гори, малювали, співали, купалися в чанах. Галина каже, що вона вперше після трагедії добре спала. А дівчата, які категорично відмовлялись йти до психолога, після табору самі висловили бажання розпочати роботу з фахівцем!
