Yehor
Yehor’s family lived a happy life in Chernihiv until the full-scale invasion changed everything. His father joined the city’s territorial defense from the first days. Later, he was killed during an air strike. Yehor and his sibling were left without their father, whom they loved deeply.
From an early age, Yehor was focused on his future. He dreamed of receiving a strong education and building a career in international management. While still at school, he decided that he wanted to study at the American University Kyiv.
The Children of Heroes Charity Fund supported Yehor on this path. The Fund arranged a special opportunity for him to take courses at the American University Kyiv. Although the program was initially available only for children from another city, the team found a way to include Yehor in Kyiv.
He was also selected for an educational trip to the United Kingdom. This experience became an important step in his development and helped him significantly improve his English.
When the time came to apply, Yehor submitted his documents to the American University Kyiv and was accepted. Today, he studies Global Management and receives a scholarship.
Yehor’s journey shows how consistent support and access to education can shape a child’s future. Step by step, he is building the life he once imagined.
