Ivan

Ivan joined the Children of Heroes Charity Fund when he was in the 11th grade. His family went through difficult times because of the war, but the Fund’s support gave him the chance to move forward. Thanks to this help, Ivan was able to enroll at one of the most prestigious universities in Ukraine – American University Kyiv, which follows Western educational standards.

Today, he is already in his third year of studies and admits he still can’t believe how far he has come:

“I never imagined I would receive an American education while living in Kyiv. This opportunity became possible thanks to the Fund. Without it, I simply wouldn’t have been able to attend this university.”

This year, Ivan will begin an internship at one of Ukraine’s leading IT companies – SoftServe, a partner of his university. He sees this as the beginning of his career and the first step toward independence. In the coming years, he plans to join the company full-time and build his future in the IT field.

Ivan says that the Fund’s support changed his life:

“The Children of Heroes Charity Fund divided my life into ‘before’ and ‘after.’ I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to study, grow, and build my future.”

Thanks to his education, internship opportunities, and the support of people who believed in him, Ivan is moving forward with confidence – and he knows exactly who he is living and working hard for.
