The Fund and Pechersk School International signed a memorandum of cooperation
On September 2, 2024, the Children of Heroes Fund and the Pechersk School International (PSI Kyiv) signed a memorandum of cooperation, under which the Fund’s beneficiaries can study at the school. Oleksandra Antonenko became the first student from the Fund.
Implementing an education and socialization program is one of the key areas of the Fund’s activities, and the team is actively working to find new opportunities to support the children of Heroes. The decision to sign a memorandum with PSI Kyiv was made very quickly, as the two institutions share the same mission and values — to support the children of Heroes who lost one or both parents to war by providing them access to quality education and opportunities for personal growth.
“Pechersk School International not only provides knowledge but also actively promotes the development of skills necessary to adapt to the future, especially during war. Cooperation with the Children of Heroes Charity Fund is an important step in realizing our mission as an educational institution that strives to change the lives of our students for the better. Our school is proud of its excellent team of specialists who come not only from Ukraine but also from different parts of the world. Studying at our school opens up great opportunities for the children of the Heroes and will positively impact their future. We are ready to do everything we can to support Oleksandra and her family on this path,” said Trae Holland, Director of Pechersk School International.
After signing the document, representatives of the Pechersk School gave the Fund’s team and Oleksandra with her mother a tour of the school, showed them modern classrooms, and familiarized them with the opportunities the school offers to students.
A particularly touching moment of the event was the participation of Oleksandra and her mother, the family of the fallen hero Dmytro Antonenko, in whose honor a street in their city of Kharkiv was named. Oleksandra is a very active girl. She enjoys drawing, and learning English and is interested in web design. The Fund’s team believes that PSI Kyiv will become not only a place of study for Oleksandra, but also an environment where she can fully realize her potential and find new friends.
Cooperation with PSI Kyiv opens up new opportunities for the support and development of children of Heroes who, despite the difficulties they have experienced, are confidently moving towards the realization of their dreams.
We remind you that you can support the educational opportunities of our children on the Fund’s project page, where the collection for educational devices is ongoing.
