Help Children of Heroes Catch Up With Education With BACK TO SCHOOL Fundraiser
Some children have never experienced a single uninterrupted year of normal schooling.
First, the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted their education. Then, russia’s full-scale invasion brought years of air raid alerts, distance learning, displacement, and the loss of loved ones. Together, these experiences have left many Ukrainian children facing serious educational gaps.
Additional classes give our children an opportunity to recover lost knowledge, rebuild confidence, and keep up with their peers.
You can help them overcome significant learning losses with BACK TO SCHOOL, our new major fundraising campaign.
Our shared goal is to raise UAH 3 million (approximately USD 67K) to provide children with additional classes in Ukrainian, mathematics, and programming. Eventually, with your help, we will see our children pursue the education and career they dream of.
Today, more than 16,500 children are under the long-term care of the Children of Heroes Charity Fund, and more than 6,000 of them live below the poverty line. Many of these children see the Fund’s support as their only opportunity to catch up with their education and regain the skills they have missed.
Through the BACK TO SCHOOL campaign, 992 children will receive several months of additional learning support:
- 250 children will take Ukrainian language courses;
- 642 children will receive additional mathematics classes;
- 100 children will learn programming.
