Children of Heroes receives the highest rating from Philanthropy in Ukraine
Children of Heroes Charity Fund has completed the verification process conducted by Philanthropy in Ukraine and received Level 4, the highest rating on its four-level institutional capacity scale.
We are proud to share that the Children of Heroes Charity Fund has successfully completed the verification process conducted by NGO “Philanthropy in Ukraine” and received Level 4, the highest rating on its four-level institutional capacity scale.
This recognition places Children of Heroes among the verified organizations listed in the Philanthropy in Ukraine platform’s catalog, giving donors and partners added confidence in our transparency, governance, and impact.
What the assessment covered
Philanthropy in Ukraine evaluates charitable organizations against criteria based on international donor requirements and the good governance standards developed by ISAR Ednannia.
As part of the assessment, an independent expert examined the Fund’s documents, policies, procedures and responses across eight areas:
- registration and legal compliance
- governance and strategy
- financial and asset management
- operational activity and project delivery
- safeguarding policies and personnel practices
- public reporting and data protection
- partnerships and communication
- general organizational information
What this means for the Fund’s work
The verification provides external confirmation that the Fund meets recognized standards of accountability, transparency and organizational capacity.
It also strengthens the Fund’s ability to work with institutional donors and partners that require documented due diligence before beginning a partnership.
