Yulia

Yulia’s father began defending Ukraine from the Russian invaders from the first months of the full-scale invasion. His mission was to protect his country and his family, adamant that his place was on the front lines to keep them safe. Yulia’s father had a brush with death in June, but survived. However, on September 1^st, 2022, when the family should have been happy for Yulia for beginning her first day of school, they received the horrible news.

Her father had died on the battlefield.

While he was still alive, her brave father did everything that he possibly could to provide a comfortable life for his family. Yulia’s mother now struggles without her husband’s support, wondering how she will be able to raise her young daughter on her own. Yulia and her mother find it difficult to describe their heartbreaking experience in words but they hope that the help and kindness of others will help them overcome their loss.
