Nadiia
Before the war, Nadia lived in Mariupol in a full-fledged family with her loving parents. Unfortunately, the war came into their lives and radically changed all the family’s plans. On March 29, the city came under heavy shelling, and the family and their neighbors lived in the basement of their house for a long time.
A Russian missile hit their house near the village one day, causing a fire. Nadia’s father tried to stop the fire, but unfortunately, he was killed in the explosion. Nadia’s mother was severely injured by shrapnel and died in the hospital later. The girl’s grandmother buried them in the park near the house. After this tragedy, the Russian military took the girl to Russia, where she miraculously managed to get to Romania. There, her relatives met Nadia and returned to Ukraine together. The girl experienced a lot of suffering, stress, and pain.
Now she has to learn to live anew, without her dear parents and far from her home. She dreams of having her own home and meeting her grandmother, still in occupied Mariupol.
