A New Generation of Leaders: Beneficiaries of the Children of Heroes Charity Fund Complete Scholarship Program at the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy

Fourteen beneficiaries of the Children of Heroes Charity Fund participated in the “Individual Leader Trajectory” scholarship program offered by the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. Over six months of intensive study, high school students developed their leadership skills, prepared for the National Multi-Subject Test (NMT), and shaped their personal and professional development paths.
The program, designed for 10th and 11th-grade students, incorporated a blended learning format: participants attended 108 hours of online lectures and participated in 10 in-person meetings. Together with mentors and experts, they enhanced practical skills essential for a modern leader.
During thematic workshops, the children learned to present confidently on camera, articulate their thoughts clearly, and position themselves effectively on social media. Participants developed analytical and strategic thinking, mastered the basics of information security and financial literacy, and learned to present interstate strategies, conduct constructive dialogue, and build trust within a team.
The program’s culmination was a simulated session of the 4th Global Youth Peace Summit, “The Ukrainian Formula for Peace,” during which participants took on the roles of heads of state, media representatives, and mentors. In a business game format, the teenagers discussed ways to achieve peace and presented their ideas.
The final stage involved the presentation of individual leadership trajectories. The defense of the projects was evaluated by an expert jury, which included Tetiana Novytska, CEO of the Children of Heroes CF. She supported the participants and shared her impressions of their achievements.
