A Glimpse into the Future of Energy: How Children of Heroes Toured a Solar Power Plant

On April 11th, with the support of the charitable organization “Energy Act for Ukraine” Foundation, 28 beneficiaries and a family assistant from the Children of Heroes Charity Fund visited a solar power plant. For many, this was their first introduction to renewable energy – a sector that not only shapes the modern energy system but also holds crucial significance for Ukraine’s future.
During the tour, the Fund’s beneficiaries learned:
- how solar energy converts into electricity;
- how a solar generation system is structured and what each of its components is responsible for;
- why renewable energy sources are a necessity, not a temporary trend;
- how even simple daily actions can reduce negative environmental impact.
The organizers readily answered the children’s questions, explaining complex concepts in simple terms and encouraging active dialogue. After the tour, the youngsters enjoyed a quiz to reinforce their knowledge and received pleasant mementos. This approach helps to understand technologies better and promotes the development of environmental responsibility from an early age.
Nadiia, the mother of one of the beneficiaries, mentioned that the children were thrilled with the tour and thanked the Fund and organizers for such a wonderful and educational activity.
Furthermore, facilitating access to education is one of the Fund’s main focus areas. Thanks to regular support, over 8,000 children monthly have the opportunity to study foreign languages, master IT fields, engage in creative pursuits, or prepare for the National Multi-Subject Test (NMT). We believe that knowledge is a tool for shaping a strong and conscious generation.
