Strengthening support: Children of Heroes and Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration joined forces

On March 27, the Children of Heroes Charity Fund and Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration signed a memorandum of cooperation and partnership. This document paves the way for expanded support for children who have lost one or both parents due to war.
As of March 2025, the Fund supports 308 children in Zaporizhzhia Oblast. This partnership will enhance assistance in key areas such as education, psychological rehabilitation, social adaptation, and talent development. The agreement also includes joint efforts to organize social and cultural events, roundtables, and seminars for affected families. Additionally, the administration will engage local businesses and international partners in supporting the Fund’s beneficiaries.
The memorandum was signed by Mykhailo Semikin, deputy head of Zaporizhzhia RMA, and Anna Khomenko, director of the Fund. Attending the event were Oksana Zhuravel, project manager for government relations at the Fund; Liliia Zhuzha, a specialist in working with affected families at the Fund; Olena Sorochenko, head of the department for veterans’ policy at the RMA; and Natalia Steblyanko, acting deputy head of the service for children at the RMA.
Mykhailo Semikin expressed gratitude for the Fund’s work, emphasizing the importance of supporting children from Zaporizhzhia Oblast who have lost their parents. He reaffirmed his commitment to collaboration, both in strategic planning and operational initiatives.
Anna Khomenko stated: “We are grateful to the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration for their openness, dedication, and willingness to cooperate. By joining forces, we can offer children more comprehensive support.”
The Children of Heroes Fund continues to strengthen its network of partnerships. A significant milestone in this effort is a new collaboration with the Relief Coordination Centre (RCC) in Zaporizhzhia. Together, our organizations are committed to providing comprehensive assistance to families, ensuring access to essential resources, and creating conditions for recovery and development. By coordinating efforts, we aim to respond effectively to challenges and help families navigate difficult circumstances.
