Light for Children Project Brings Light to Ukrainian Kids
Children of Heroes’ Light for Children project continues to make a significant difference in the lives of Ukrainian children affected by the ongoing russian Invasion of Ukraine. Thanks to the support of generous donors and partners such as Razom for Ukraine, Data Art, Sayenko & Kharenko, and Kernel to name a few, the initiative has delivered a total of $129,962 worth of aid as of April 9th. The Foundation, in partnership with various organizations, aims to provide comprehensive support to Ukrainian children and their families affected by the invasion.
Through the project, the Foundation has distributed 2,112 power banks, 1,246 lamps with built-in batteries, 32 generators, and 19 accumulator units to families and children in need. Additionally, 2,796 reflective strips for children’s clothing have been provided, ensuring their safety during evening walks when blackouts occur. The Light for Children project’s impact has been significant, providing practical solutions to improve the lives of those facing difficult circumstances brought about by the invasion.
Olga, one of the beneficiaries of the Light for Children project, expressed her gratitude, saying:
“I am so grateful to Children of Heroes and the Light for Children project for their support during this difficult time. The power banks and lamps have been invaluable in ensuring that my family has access to electricity when it’s needed the most. And the reflective strips have given me peace of mind knowing that my children are safe during evening walks. Thank you for all that you do!”
