Yana

Yana’s family lived in Kharkiv in the northeast of Ukraine. Her mother raised Yana and her two siblings alone after her father passed away three years ago. During the full-scale war a Russian rocket hit the family’s home directly – killing everyone inside except Yana.

Yana survived only due to being in another room at the time of impact. In one moment, she lost everything. Yana currently lives with her aunt, whom she asks to call “mom,” and spends every evening reminiscing about her mom and siblings.

The fund helped:

  • Yana's family received priority financial support, legal support, psychological assistance and a heater for their home
  • Shoes from Intertop, a voucher o buy winter clothes from Good Mom and additional financial assistance to buy winter shoes and household goods from Biosphere
  • The family also received $1,000 from our partners at the 1K Project and financial assistance from the Sheptytsky Foundation
  • The Fund provided Yana with a smartphone, tablet, school supplies, a snowsuit and a warm blanket
  • Yana also received gifts for her birthday and St. Nicholas Day and currently attends art classes

табір «Воловець» у Карпатах

З перших днів повномасштабного вторгнення Юрій пішов добровольцем на фронт. На жаль, чоловік загинув під Бахмутом. Ця трагедія стала справжнім ударом для його дружини Галини та двох донечок — 13-річної Таїсії та 11-річної Іринки. Емоційний стан донечок був вкрай нестабільним: вони закрились в собі.

Від фонду «Діти Героїв» сімʼя Найдухів отримала можливість поїхати до табору «Воловець» у Карпатах. Це табір психоемоційної стабілізації для сімей, що постраждали від війни. З перших днів у таборі розпочались позитивні зміни. Вони ходили в гори, малювали, співали, купалися в чанах. Галина каже, що вона вперше після трагедії добре спала. А дівчата, які категорично відмовлялись йти до психолога, після табору самі висловили бажання розпочати роботу з фахівцем!
