Vira
The war dramatically changed Vira’s life. It forced her to grow up quickly and taught her to value simple things – a peaceful day, loved ones by her side, and the ability to plan ahead. Her worldview shifted, bringing a deeper understanding of how fragile life is and how important it is not to postpone what truly matters.
Vira lost her father – and with him, as she says, she lost a part of herself. This pain became part of her life, but at the same time, it taught her to be more attentive to herself and her emotions.
Today, Vira is beginning to develop her path in tattoo art – a field she had long dreamed of and always envisioned herself in. Creativity has become a way for her to express herself and gradually heal.
Support from the Children of Heroes Charity Fund played an important role in her life. It gave Vira the feeling that she was not alone in her loss, that there were people who truly cared. Thanks to this support, it became easier for her to focus on her studies and inner recovery, and she found renewed strength and belief in herself.
Today, Vira is a graduate of the Children of Heroes Charity Fund. Drawing on her own experience, she shares words of support with others: it is important to allow yourself to feel the pain, not to blame yourself for your emotions, and not to be afraid to ask for help. Over time, the pain does not disappear completely, but it becomes quieter – and life gradually fills with new meaning. And most importantly, no one has to face this challenge alone.
