Nicole
Nicole recently turned seven. Her dad was killed in Mariupol while she and her mom hid from shelling in the basement of their home. During the freezing cold weather, the family ran out of food and supplies. While out obtaining water for the family, Nicole’s father was injured when a rocket hit the neighboring house. Sadly, he did not survive his injuries. Nor could the family properly mourn, needing to hide for a further 10 days in their basement from further shelling and attacks.
Since losing their father and husband, Nicole and her mother have relocated. Nicole is studying remotely at a Ukrainian school and is enrolled in German classes.
