Milana & Yehor

Before the full-scale invasion, the family lived peacefully in Kharkiv. Their everyday life was filled with joy and laughter. But on the morning of February 24, the family panicked when they woke up to the sounds of explosions. They had to live in a shelter until their father Oleksandr convinced them to evacuate to the west of the country. When they were in a safer place, Oleksandr told his family that he was joining the Armed Forces of Ukraine. 

Unfortunately, in February 2023, Milana and Yehor’s world was devastated because their father didn’t return. After this tragic news, the children’s character changed dramatically. Yehor became the main man in the house, taking on the role of his deceased father. Milana misses her father and remembers him when it rains outside, because she believes that these drops are her father’s tears, who is crying for his family from the sky.
