Iryna and Yana
Iryna (17-years-old) and Yana (12) are the youngest of three sisters. Their large, loving family lived together in Lviv in the western portion of Ukraine. They enjoyed spending time together, often traveling to the mountains, helping take care of animals and dreamed of one day taking their first trip abroad.
The family’s hopes and dreams were shattered in an instant in April of 2022 when their father was killed during a rocket attack on the city of Lviv. Now, the girls are without a father; their mother without a husband, and their lives are forever changed as they dream of an end to the war.
