Arsen

Arsen was born in 2006. His parents met while studying and later married. The family lived well and traveled often.

In 2022, Arsen’s father, Oleh, volunteered for the army and served as a medical instructor. In November of the same year, he was killed. Arsen remained with his mother.

The Children of Heroes Charity Fund shared with him the opportunity to apply for a grant to study at the American University Kyiv. Arsen took this chance and enrolled in the Data Science bachelor’s program. This changed his life: he met many kind and motivated peers, as well as professors who made a strong impression on him.

Now Arsen is in his third year of studies, while also doing sports and attending psychotherapy. He says he doesn’t have specific plans or dreams, but he wants to find the strength to live in a way that honors his father’s memory and not to break.
