Andriy
Shortly before the war, Andriy’s father was diagnosed with cancer. He began treatment in his home city of Chernihiv in the north of Ukraine and hoped to recover. However, with the outbreak of the war, Chernihiv became extremely dangerous. With fierce combat happening around them, the family was unable to evacuate the city – nor was Andriy’s father able to receive treatment for his cancer.
He died at home, right in front of his relatives. Currently, the family still resides in Chernihiv and is trying to repair their home that was damaged during enemy shelling.
