«While We Are Together, Christmas Is Home»: a charitable runner by TET and MEREZHKA in support of Children of Heroes
This winter, Ukrainian TV channel TET and contemporary clothing brand MEREZHKA have joined forces to support children who have lost one or both parents due to the war. As part of their joint charitable initiative, they have created a limited-edition festive table runner, «Vertep», and all proceeds from its sales will be directed to the Children of Heroes Charity Fund.
Today, over 14,900 children are under the care of the Fund. They need psychological support, medical treatment, education, and opportunities for development. Charitable partnerships like the collaboration with TET and MEREZHKA make it possible to expand this support and reach even more families.
The «Vertep» runner has become the symbol of TET’s Christmas campaign. Its exclusive design was created by the MEREZHKA team as a modern interpretation of traditional Ukrainian motifs that embody family, warmth, and a deep connection to one’s roots. It is a meaningful piece — a festive accent in the home that at the same time becomes tangible support for children growing up without one or both parents.
«Christmas is about home, warmth, and traditions that unite us even in difficult times. This is exactly how our joint project was born: to create a modern yet deeply Ukrainian symbol of the holiday — the “Vertep” runner, which reminds us that while we are together, we can support those who need this light the most right now,» says Anna Bereza, Head of Project Promotion at TET.
«The design of the runner combines traditional motifs and modern aesthetics, symbolizing family bonds, comfort, and love for Ukrainian roots. We wanted to create an item with meaning — something that would become a festive centerpiece in every home and at the same time help children who require support,» adds MEREZHKA designer Olena Maliienko.
