Supporting Mariupol’s Defenders: The ‘Heart of Azovstal’ Project Targets Six Vital Areas
On December 5, the Ruslan Baginskiy brand hosted a St. Nicholas charity evening at Kyiv’s M17 venue, blending Ukrainian tradition with contemporary culture.
The event was dedicated to supporting the Children of Heroes Charity Fund — specifically, children who have lost one or both parents due to the war. Around UAH 500,000 was raised, and the brand matched the amount, bringing the total contribution to UAH 1,000,000.
For the evening, the brand’s team created an immersive visual concept inspired by winter holiday symbols: the facade of M17 was adorned with giant Christmas star decorations, while inside guests were welcomed by a long communal table featuring a star map of the Kyiv night sky, as well as a charitable collection of Christmas art stars — modern interpretations of the traditional Ukrainian Christmas star.
The base of each art piece was handcrafted by star-making artisan Mykhailo Shvets, and Ruslan Baginskiy’s decorative designs completed each star, conveying Ukrainian aesthetics through the lens of contemporary design.
The highlight of the evening was a performance by the children’s choir, «Shchedryk.» Throughout the event, a Ruslan Baginskiy charity shop was also open: guests could purchase specially created art pieces and items from the winter collection, contributing to the fundraising effort.
We thank Ruslan Baginskiy, the guests, and everyone who joined and supported the evening. This contribution is real support for children who are living through loss and need a steady presence by their side.
