“Dreams That Warm”: Uklon and the “Children of Heroes” СF Unite Ukrainians Through a Mobile Exhibition to Help Children
From December 6 to 25, 2024, the Ukrainian ride-hailing service Uklon with the Children of Heroes Charity Fund will launch the unique initiative Dreams That Warm. As part of the project, over 900 Uklon cars in 19 cities across Ukraine will be transformed into a mobile exhibition featuring drawings and stories of the children of Ukrainian Heroes.
The initiative symbolically links two significant dates – the Armed Forces Day of Ukraine and St. Nicholas Day. The children’s drawings, filled with heartfelt requests to St. Nicholas for peace and safety, represent not only their dreams but also an expression of gratitude to the modern-day Nicholases – the Ukrainian Armed Forces, who defend the freedom and future of our country every day.
The Children of Heroes CF supports children who have lost one or both parents due to russia’s invasion. As of December 1, 2024, the Fund cares for 10,979 children, with about 100 new children joining weekly. 93% of the Fund’s beneficiaries are children of military personnel, and 7% are from civilian families.
“Thousands of our beneficiaries write letters and prepare drawings for St. Nicholas, asking for one main wish — to bring their parents back and end the war. Unfortunately, we cannot make these dreams come true. However, we can fulfill their wishes — giving them the dreamed-of gifts and restoring their belief in miracles. We are grateful to our partner Uklon, who once again helps make the dreams of the children of Heroes come true. Such support is an example of true social responsibility from Ukrainian businesses that contribute to creating happy moments for those who need it most”, shared Valeria Abdal, co-founder of the Children of Heroes CF.
Unlike traditional static exhibitions, this initiative is integrated into the daily lives of Ukrainians. The children’s drawings, displayed inside nearly a thousand Uklon partner cars, remind users about the importance of supporting those who have suffered losses while encouraging solidarity and care.
Through QR codes placed next to the drawings, users can visit the project’s website, learn more about the initiative, browse the drawings’ gallery, and contribute to support the children of Heroes. The funds raised will go towards purchasing holiday gifts and implementing the Fund’s long-term programs, including emergency, humanitarian, and medical aid, educational initiatives, psychological support, and socialization.
In addition to providing informational support to the Fund, Uklon has provided direct financial assistance to purchase gift certificates for the children. These certificates give each child the opportunity to fulfill their wishes.
