Artur and Oleksandr
Artur, who is 15-years-old, and Oleksandr, who is 11, lived with their parents in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southeast of Ukraine. Their father was a soldier who bravely defended Ukraine and died on the battlefield.
Artur and Oleksandr’s city was occupied by Russian troops in March, shortly after the beginning of the full-scale invasion. A rocket hit their house, forcing the family to leave it behind, only for the occupiers to ransack it, rob them of their savings and destroy their car.
The family now lives abroad, forced to evacuate after losing their father and husband, whom they miss very much, their home and their livelihood.
