Children of Heroes took part in the IV Global Youth Peace Summit

On February 21, the Children of Heroes beneficiaries participated in the IV Global Youth Peace Summit, Ukraine’s Peace Formula, held at the Kyiv-Mohyla School of Professional and Continuing Education. The event was organized by Natalia Kravchuk, associate professor, doctor of economics, and Oleh Lutsyshyn, associate professor, PhD in economics.
The Summit brought together approximately 50 high school seniors from various regions of Ukraine, including 13 Fund beneficiaries. All of them are participants in the Individual Leader’s Trajectory scholarship program. The students took on roles as representatives of different countries: political leaders, ambassadors, journalists, etc. They engaged in discussions on key peace-related issues, negotiated solutions, and worked on future scenarios.
During the Summit, the participants formed a coalition around Ukraine’s Peace Formula – a 10-point program outlining the fundamental principles for ending the war. These principles include ensuring radiation and nuclear safety, securing the release of all prisoners and deportees, restoring Ukraine’s territorial integrity, preventing further escalation, and establishing lasting peace.
The students proposed initiatives aimed at achieving a just resolution to the war. Additionally, they refined their skills in strategic thinking, diplomacy, and teamwork while gaining valuable experience in international communication.
“The lectures helped unlock our potential, and I liked that we were grouped with others who shared similar temperaments. The mentors did an excellent job, and there was no fear of speaking with teachers. The training helped me better understand my future profession and gain the discipline I lacked,” shared Oleksandra, a Fund beneficiary, reflecting on her experience in the Individual Leader’s Trajectory program.
Education and personal development are among the Fund’s key assistance programs. As of March 1, 2025, 3,361 children have attended foreign language courses, and another 2,107 have taken school subject classes. Additionally, our beneficiaries have received 4,132 gadgets for online learning.
