An interactive sports event was held in Poltava as part of the Intersport for Children of Heroes project
On May 22, the Epicenter shopping center in Poltava hosted an interactive sports event called Intersport for Children of Heroes, organized by Epicenter K and Intersport in partnership with the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine and the Children of Heroes Charity Fund.
More than 50 children of the Heroes joined the event and got acquainted with various sports: darts, badminton, croquet, pickleball, rhythmic gymnastics, athletics, and football. The participants also took part in master classes from professional coaches, exercises, competitions and quizzes.
A special moment for the children was the opportunity to meet and talk face-to-face with Ukrainian Olympic athletes: boxing champion Oleksandr Khyzhnyak, European youth wrestling champion Ivan Prymachenko, Ukrainian champion and European rowing championship winner Sevileia Ibadova, and European rowing championship winner Roman Skoryk.
At the end of the holiday, the children received gifts from Intersport and Epicenter and the opportunity to practice their chosen sport for free from the National Olympic Committee.
Such events not only give children joy and the opportunity to open new horizons, but also contribute to their socialization, help them find friends, feel support and self-confidence. It is thanks to such moments that our wards receive important life skills to overcome difficulties and build a happy future.
