A Warm End to the Warmth for Children Project
In early October, to prepare for the cold Ukrainian winter, we launched a large-scale project called Warmth for Children to provide children with warm clothes and comfort in their homes. Strikes on Ukraine’s infrastructure, which led to power outages as well as interruptions in communications and heating, accelerated the implementation of this project.
Thanks to our donors and partners, 486 children received fall clothing, and 1,377 children received winter clothing as part of the project, which concluded in March. Our children received warm jackets, snowsuits, thermal underwear, hats, and scarves. 892 children in our care also received comfortable winter shoes.
The majority of our families have been forced to evacuate and abandon their homes in favor of rented accommodations, which often lack proper heating, so 739 children also received blankets. In addition, 736 families received heaters and 212 families received firewood to heat their homes.
During the campaign, the Fund provided $261,000 (UAH 9.6 million) in total assistance to the children and families in our care.
We thank everyone who has contributed to providing warmth and comfort for our children. We would also like to mention the partners who helped the Fund to successfully implement the Warmth for Children project: Nova Ukraine, EPAM Ukraine, Bearr Trust, Avenga, T.C.Pizza, INTERTOP, Rocketmen agency, Мамин Дом та Garnamama.
Our entire team appreciates your concern for little Ukrainians.
