Oschadbank supported the educational needs of children who lost their parents due to the war, in partnership with the Children of Heroes Charity Fund
Oschadbank provided charitable support to the Children of Heroes Charity Fund to cover the educational needs of children who lost one or both parents as a result of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine. The support is aimed at financing a six-month IT education course for 30 beneficiaries of the Fund aged 13 to 17, including children of Oschadbank employees.
The Children of Heroes Charity Fund provides long-term, comprehensive support to children who have experienced loss due to the war. As of January 1, 2026, the Fund supports 15,227 children from all regions of Ukraine. The vast majority of beneficiaries are children of military service members, and a significant number of families are still waiting for state decisions or do not have access to adequate support from the state.
“For us, it is important that support for children is not limited to one-time assistance. Educational programs are about sustainable opportunities, about choice, and about a future that a child can build independently. We are grateful to Oschadbank for the partnership and for the willingness to invest in precisely such long-term solutions,” said Tetiana Novytska, CEO of the Children of Heroes Charity Fund.
The Fund works with each family individually, taking into account the child’s age, life circumstances, and needs that change over time. Educational programs, including IT courses, are part of this support and help children gain practical skills, explore new fields, and see opportunities for further development.
“Investing in the education of children who lost their parents due to the war is an investment in Ukraine’s future. For Oschadbank, it is important not only to provide support here and now, but to create real opportunities for these children’s development, self-realization, and a dignified life. We are convinced that knowledge—particularly in the field of IT—opens the door to integration into the global world and the formation of a strong, competitive nation,” commented Serhii Naumov, Chairman of the Management Board of Oschadbank.
Oschadbank consistently supports educational and social initiatives. Caring for war heroes and their families is part of the bank’s inclusive program “My Barrier-Free Path”, through which Oschadbank systematically supports veterans, their loved ones, and children who have suffered losses due to the war.
