Plarium Donates Over 2.8 Million UAH to the Children of Heroes Charity Fund
Plarium has joined the Children of Heroes CF’s charity project, Warmth for Children, for the second time. The Fund supports young Ukrainians who have lost one or both parents due to russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
Employees purchased special certificates for warm clothing, raising 1,447,368 UAH, which the company matched, doubling the amount. These funds provided winter clothing and footwear kits for 482 children.
Currently, the Fund’s staff distributes the certificates to the children and their guardians.
“At the launch of the Warmth for Children project, the Fund had 10,000 children under its care. Today that number has grown to 11,600 — a stark reminder of the ongoing challenges.
The growth is happening right before our eyes. Support from partners like Plarium helps us navigate these challenges. Thanks to the company’s contribution, hundreds of children received winter clothing, which not only provided warmth but also a sense of care and support during these difficult times for Ukraine. We are immensely grateful to Plarium for their trust and their commitment to our shared mission,” said Kateryna Pozinenko, a representative of the Children of Heroes Charity Fund.
How the Funds Were Raised
In collaboration with the Fund, Plarium created a landing page where employees could purchase certificates for sets of warm clothing for children and leave personal messages for them. Each set included winter clothes, footwear, a hat, and a scarf.
The goal was initially to fund 200 sets. However, before the campaign concluded, employees had already purchased all the certificates and exceeded the target, raising funds for 241 sets.
A total of 343 employees participated, setting a company record for the highest amount raised. Plarium then doubled the funds, contributing 2,894,736 UAH to the Fund.
“We joined this project for the second time because its mission resonates deeply with us — providing warmth and support to children, who are the future of our country.
This year, we took a more personalized approach. The landing page featured stories of specific children, allowing employees to choose who they wanted to help. This made a tremendous impact, as seeing the stories of the children we support inspires us to give even more,” shared Oleksandr Piddubnyi, Director of Employer Brand at Plarium.
