The Children of Heroes Charity Fund and the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine Unite Efforts to Support Children of Fallen Defenders
In September 2024, the Director of the Children of Heroes Charity Fund and the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine signed a partnership memorandum aimed at assisting children who lost their parents during the war.
Collaboration with the Ministry of Veterans Affairs will enable the provision of comprehensive support to these children, including psychological, social, and educational assistance.
The first step in implementing the partnership was an event for the families of fallen defenders in the Korostyshiv community. Nataliia Arkhipova, Head of the Department for Work with Families of Fallen Defenders at the Ministry of Veterans Affairs, along with family assistants from our Fund, met with 51 children from the community and handed them backpacks with school supplies.
“Collaboration between charitable foundations and government institutions is crucial in supporting children who have lost their parents during the war. Signing the memorandum with the Children of Heroes Charity Fund is a step towards strengthening our support. We believe that through joint efforts, we can create all the necessary conditions for these children to grow and develop,” said Nataliia Humeniuk, Director of the Department of Social Policy at the Ministry of Veterans Affairs.
