The Children of Heroes Charity Fund continues to support the mental health of children affected by the war

On October 10, on World Mental Health Day, representatives of the Children of Heroes Charity Fund participated in a series of important events as part of the nationwide mental health program “How Are You?”, initiated by the First Lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska. In particular, in Chernivtsi, a mini-forum titled “One’s Resilience is the Resilience of Millions” took place, where Natalia Zahorodniuk, a psychologist from the Children of Heroes Fund, delivered a report on working with children who have experienced loss. She shared effective methods and tools for their psychological recovery.

Simultaneously, at the Khmelnytskyi Regional Military Administration, Daria Hrynenko, a senior family support specialist at the Fund, participated in a panel discussion on overcoming psychological trauma in children. She presented the Fund’s programs aimed at socialization and psychological support for children.

For its outstanding partnership in the “How Are You?” initiative in the field of defense and veteran policies in Chernivtsi and Khmelnytskyi regions, the Children of Heroes Charity Fund received honorary awards.

Psychological support is one of the key priorities of the Children of Heroes Charity Fund. As of October 1, the Fund’s psychologists have conducted nearly 18,000 consultations for our beneficiaries and their guardians. Additionally, more than 1,500 children have attended various forms of art therapy — a method of psychological support that allows children to express their emotions and experiences through creativity.

The Children of Heroes Charity Fund continues to work on providing comprehensive support to children affected by the war. Thanks to signed memoranda with the Khmelnytskyi and Chernivtsi regional administrations, our Fund actively participates in all regional initiatives aimed at helping children, including in the sphere of their mental health.
