“Children of Heroes” Charity Fund held art therapy for its beneficiaries

On September 7, the Children of Heroes Charity Fund organized art therapy for children who lost one or both parents due to the war. The event was held at the ALLSTARSIT office in Kyiv under the guidance of the Fund’s psychologist, Larysa Yuzmukhametova.

Twelve children aged 8 to 14 could express themselves creatively by drawing on T-shirts. Each participant chose his or her own drawing that reflected their emotions and individual experiences.

Such events are an essential element of psychological and social rehabilitation of the children of Heroes, as they help them overcome trauma, and promote socialization and development. 

“Art therapy is a great opportunity for children not only to create but also to find new ways to express their feelings and thoughts. We see how such events help children to open up, recover, and feel support from others”, emphasized Valeria Abdal, co-founder of the Children of Heroes Charity Fund.
