Plarium transferred 500,000 UAH to support the MBA Program for 120 Children of Heroes
In honor of Independence Day, Plarium has donated 500,000 UAH to fund an MBA leadership and career guidance program for 120 children under the care of the Children of Heroes Charity Fund.
To raise this amount to support MBA Kids, Plarium employees participated in a charitable online quest called Code of Independence.
“Each riddle in the quest revealed a fact from the history of different regions of Ukraine, which participants had to solve. Points earned for completing tasks were converted into a monetary donation.
The high goal motivated employees to unite into teams and solve tasks rapidly, as the three fastest teams added a significant bonus to the total”, shared the project’s Event Manager, Yevheniya Vovchenko.
The MBA Kids program, which will benefit from this funding, will help children aged 14-17 develop leadership qualities, financial literacy, and time management skills, which are critically important for their professional and personal growth.
On September 16, the career guidance program started for two groups of children, and in October, two more groups will begin classes on entrepreneurship, public speaking and self-presentation. In the entrepreneurship program, children will learn business fundamentals, including management, finance, sales, and marketing. While working in teams, they will create their own business models, which they will later present to an audience.
In the classes focused on public speaking and self-presentation, children will overcome their fear of public speaking, master the art of storytelling, and become familiar with presentation techniques. They will also learn how to engage with an audience, identify their strengths and weaknesses, and use effective self-presentation methods.
Training in the MBA program is a unique opportunity for children of Heroes. Here, they both gain knowledge and experience that will contribute to their future development and integration into adult life.
Over 6,000 children of Heroes have already received support through the Fund’s educational initiatives. As education is an essential element in shaping a bright future for these children, the Fund’s team continues to work on expanding educational opportunities for their beneficiaries.
