Art as Support: A Workshop for Children and Their Guardians on the Fund’s Anniversary

On Sunday, March 2, ahead of the third anniversary of the Children of Heroes Charity Fund, a special painting workshop was held. Children who have lost one or both parents due to the war, together with their guardians, created artworks, immersing themselves in the world of art.
This event was more than just a creative activity. It was a powerful tool for psychological support. Painting not only helps develop artistic skills but also provides a way to express emotions and regain inner balance. For the children, it became a means of conveying their feelings and love for their homeland. They painted Ukrainian symbols, illustrating the strength and resilience of the nation. Within their artwork lay remembrance of those who gave their lives for freedom and a steadfast belief in the coming victory.
Guardians also participated in the workshop, gaining a deeper understanding of their children and strengthening their emotional bond. The creative atmosphere fostered a sense of unity and support —something especially crucial for families navigating difficult times.
Over the past three years, the Children of Heroes Charity Fund has taken more than 12,504 children under its care, and this number continues to grow. Children who have suffered profound loss need support to regain hope and access opportunities for growth. This workshop was just one of many steps in their healing journey. The Fund actively provides psychological assistance, educational programs, and much more, constantly expanding its efforts to offer children the comprehensive support they need.
